Working to the RICS Code of Measuring Practice (6th Edition) As an extension to our Measured Building Survey Services. Centara carry out MBS surveys to provide accurate calculations for:

- Gross External Area (GEA) – The total external square area of within a building including but not limited to;
- External projections and perimeter
- internal wall footprints (structural and non-structural
- Structural features (e.g. piers, columns, stairswells, lift wells
- Plant and Facility Room e.g. – e.g. Lifts, tanks, fuel stores
- Covered Area with open sides – Smoke Shelters, Bike Shed etc…
- Balconies
- External – Emergency Escapes (Fire Escapes)
- Open sided Walkways
- Vehicle Parking Areas
- Net Internal Area (NIA) – the usable internal areas within a building. We measure the to the finished surface of the internal and/or internal partition walls.
- Skirting, Moulding and trunking
- Kitchenettes, Kitchens and breakouts rooms
