Underground Utility Mapping and PAS128
When you choose Centara to provide an underground utility mapping survey, you can be confident in the results we deliver. We carry out your survey using precision electromagnetic (EML) locating equipment and ground penetrating radar (GPR) systems from industry leading manufacturers, including SPX, GSSI and IDS.
We have some of the most experienced and skilled utility mapping surveyors in the industry, with upwards of 30 years plus experience in GPR, utility location and mapping. The team delivering your survey will hold QCF qualifications in utility mapping and will be highly competent. Centara are members of The Survey Association (TSA) and EuroGPR Association.
The survey you receive will contain accurate depth and location data for Electric cables, water pipes, drainage pipes, telecom cables and ducts. It will be surveyed using high accuracy Leica and Trimble GPS and Totals station survey instruments refenced to OS coordinates or your project grid.
As part of our standard We carry out a 100% coverage sweep with GPR and EML locators to ensure unchartered services are also located and mapped. We also use radio sondes in drainage networks to ascertain accurate line and level data. In addition, we record cover and invert levels, record pipe sizes, usage and direction of flow data. GPR data is generally interpreted in mark-out mode, however we can also carryout post site processing of GPR data if your specification requires.
Your final drawings will be presented in an easy to interpret layered CAD drawing (either 2D or 3D) and PDF format. It will contain detailed explanatory notes. Centara can say with confidence, our standard surveys exceed the accuracies detailed in the BSI PAS128 standard.
